Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking an experienced EHS Manager for a global chemical manufacturing organization. You will drive regulatory compliance, process safety excellence, environmental stewardship, and emergency preparedness across a complex site, and join the site leadership team to strengthen safety culture.

Responsibilities include leading Safety, Health & Environmental programs, owning Process Safety Management, directing contractor safety, liaising with regulators, and developing the EHS team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience leading environmental, health, and safety programs in chemical manufacturing or high-hazard environments.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Care, and related requirements.
• Proven success leading EHS teams, contractor safety, emergency response programs, and regulator relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's Safety, Health & Environmental programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and internal system adherence.
• Own and continuously improve the Process Safety Management framework including MOC, PHAs, MII, PSSRs, and investigations.
• Direct contractor safety programs and oversee emergency preparedness, drills, and incident command readiness.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, auditors, local responders, and external stakeholders to manage compliance risks.
• Develop the EHS team while partnering with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and site leadership to reduce risk.
