Job summary
BD is seeking a Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to lead the EHS team at the Columbus West site. You will drive strategic initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Plant Leadership to improve EHS culture and performance.
The role requires strong technical EHS expertise, and experience with LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, and incident investigations. Bachelor's degree in EHS/Engineering is required; Master’s preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Functional Safety Certifications and related safety credentials are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of EHS professionals, guiding development and performance.
- Develop and implement strategic EHS initiatives, policies, programs and metrics.
- Coordinate day-to-day implementation of critical safety programs (LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, fall protection).
- Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, permits, licenses and policies.
