Job summary

ERM is seeking an EHS Manager to provide senior, hands-on safety leadership for a dedicated facility near Columbus, Ohio. This role demands an experienced EHS leader who can operate independently in a fast-moving technical environment and build scalable safety systems.

The role oversees site-level EHS strategy and execution for special projects, partnering with the broader EHS team on company-wide standards.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive EHS experience in complex technical environments.
Strong knowledge of machine safety, ergonomics, electrical safety, and incident investigation.
Experience scaling EHS programs during rapid growth, construction, or 24/7 operations.
Deep understanding of State of Ohio and OSHA requirements and translating them into practical programs.
Proven ability to influence senior technical and operational leaders.

Responsibilities

Own site-level EHS strategy and execution for the special projects site.
Anticipate EHS requirements for new operations, equipment, and staffing ramps.
Lead proactive risk identification and control across projects and operations.
Develop and maintain EHS programs, risk assessments, procedures, and training.
Embed safety into design, work planning, and operating decisions with other functions.
Provide visible field leadership across shifts and 24/7 operations.
Lead incident response, investigation, and root-cause analysis.
