Job summary

Element Solutions is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety & Sustainability Manager to lead and sustain all EHS programs at the Fremont, CA site and the San Jose R&D facility. You will oversee ISO 14001/45001 systems, regulatory compliance, and incident response, while driving improvements in waste reduction and safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; eight to twelve years' related experience or training
• Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing certifications are a plus
• Experience with capital projects from start to finish and financial accountability (NPV/IRR)
• Experience managing EH&S indicators and cross-site collaboration
• Experience with waste reduction and pollution abatement methods
• Willingness to obtain 40 Hr HAZWOPER and Incident Command training within 6 months
• Willingness to obtain DOT/IMDG/IATA Hazardous Materials certifications within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Lead and sustain environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs
• Maintain ISO 14001 and 45001 management systems and set objectives
• Develop and maintain procedures for ISO 14001/45001 certification audits
• Conduct Environmental Management Review meetings to uphold certifications
• Manage all Health & Safety functions and support Workers' Compensation management
• Coordinate permitting and reporting with regulatory agencies
• Train and audit programs related to EHS and Security
• Advise management on significant EHS issues and drive performance improvements
• Oversee PPE programs and facility-wide safety compliance
• Champion change management and recycling initiatives to reduce waste
