Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group is seeking an experienced EHS Manager for a manufacturing facility in Fremont, CA. The role leads Environmental, Health & Safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving a strong safety culture across the site in partnership with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production.

The candidate will manage audits, incident investigations, trainings, and cross-functional safety initiatives to advance World Class Manufacturing standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment, corrective action, audits, and EHS management systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve site-wide EHS programs, policies, procedures, and management systems in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/Cal-OSHA and environmental requirements, including audits, reporting, regulatory interactions, and site inspections.
• Lead incident investigations, risk assessments, hazard reviews, corrective actions, and mitigation plans.
• Manage EHS training, safety committees, contractor compliance, emergency/crisis preparedness, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve equipment and process safety and drive continuous improvement / World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
