Job summary

Sunlight Batteries USA is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across a lead-acid battery manufacturing facility in Greensboro, NC. You will act as a subject matter expert on OSHA, EPA, DOT and other regulatory requirements and mentor site leaders to strengthen safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Experience leading investigations, audits, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Strong training program development and delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental, health, and safety programs across the facility.
• Serve as SME on OSHA, EPA, DOT and other requirements.
• Conduct safety audits, JHAs, and risk assessments.
• Lead investigations for injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents.
• Analyze trends and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Develop and deliver training on hazard communication, lockout/tagout, respiratory protection, and more.
