Novo Nordisk seeks a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Engineer to join the Durham, NC site. The role provides SME support for multiple operations, coaching EHS teams and site leadership, and overseeing health and safety programs in accordance with regulatory and company standards.

Responsibilities include leading PSM/EPA initiatives, hazard analysis, risk assessments, and life-safety program management, with a focus on continuous improvement and cross-site collaboration.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, biology, occupational safety, environmental science required; 7+ years of direct safety experience preferred
• Master’s degree preferred
• Alternative paths with related degrees and years of safety experience considered
• Professional certification (CSP, GSP, PE or CIH) preferred

Mansioni

• Own OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance across the site
• Provide guidance on chemical hazards and safeguarding
• Lead and coach risk assessment methodologies (What-if, HAZOP, FMEA, LOPA)
• Develop and maintain life safety programs and incident investigation
• Lead ISO 45001 certification efforts and site-wide safety improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support safety initiatives
