Job summary

Calgon Carbon is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to lead safety at the Columbus Plant. You will drive environmental compliance and safety initiatives, ensuring site performance and regulatory alignment.

Responsibilities include developing risk-based safety programs, leading audits, and collaborating with operations to cultivate an autonomous EHS culture. This full-time role requires 5+ years in EHS and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of Environmental Management experience.
• Regulatory and permitting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS initiatives and safety programs at the Columbus Plant.
• Develop and implement Process Hazard Analysis, Combustible Dust, and Contractor Safety programs.
• Drive ISO compliance, training, and ESG-related activities.
• Collaborate with operations to identify hazards and reduce risks.
• Coordinate incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Engage with regulatory agencies as needed and ensure permits are up to date.
