Job summary
EHSCareers is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist for our Columbus, OH facility. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal environmental regulations by developing programs, overseeing the Industrial Wastewater Program, and researching risks to reduce pollution.
Responsibilities include inspections, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, emergency planning, and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Environmental Health) or similar.
- Minimum 2 years Environmental Health work experience in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Industrial Wastewater System operations, including sampling, recordkeeping, maintenance and compliance.
- Conduct facility inspections to identify environmental hazards and ensure corrective actions.
- Assess health and environmental risks and effectiveness of control measures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety laws.
- Support emergency preparedness and disaster recovery planning.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Environmental Health policies and programs.
- Provide training on emergency response and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records and prepare regulatory reports.
