Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead safety, health, and environmental compliance across its Kent, WA facilities and satellite sites. You will implement rigorous EHS programs, perform hazard assessments, and support incident investigations to ensure safe, compliant operations and repeatable spaceflight processes.

The role demands strong technical writing, knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive

Qualifications

• 7+ years total work in EHS.
• 5+ years work experience in an operational aerospace environment, manufacturing, or chemical industry.
• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or occupational safety.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and State of Washington regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implements EHS programs for evaluation and control of hazards (industrial hygiene, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, process safety management, hazard assessments, hearing conservation).
• Performs EHS consultation, planning, and reporting of assessments.
• Provides subject matter expertise in design and test reviews.
• Supports incidents and emergencies (spills, injuries, hazardous operations, launches).
• Ensures compliance with regulations at HQ and satellite facilities; prepares reports to agencies.
