Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior-Level EHS Compliance Engineer/Specialist to join our team in the United States. The successful candidate will manage and execute EHS permitting and compliance projects for a diverse client base, including interface with clients, proposals, and project leadership.

The role requires a strong background in air quality regulations, PSD/NSR, and broad EHS knowledge, along with the ability to travel regionally and lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the applicable practicing state, a plus.
• Approximately 10+ years of EHS permitting and compliance experience and 1+ years of project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Lead projects and project teams to deliver work within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee and contribute to the preparation of project deliverables.
• Prepare proposals outlining project scope, schedule, and budget estimates.
• Coordinate and direct project teams supporting EHS permitting and compliance initiatives.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of project deliverables.
• Lead development and implementation of permitting and compliance strategies.
• Advise clients on monitoring, planning, training, testing, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements.
• Mentor team members and support their professional development and training.
