Job summary

Canadian Solar’s EHS team seeks an experienced EHS Lead to support EMEA operations within the Battery Energy Storage Systems sector. You will provide expert Environment, Health & Safety guidance across the full project lifecycle—from design and construction to commissioning and O&M—ensuring compliance with German regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with German construction health and safety regulations.
• Practical experience in renewable energy or BESS sectors.
• Willingness to travel to all sites across the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS guidance across EMEA BESS projects and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Review Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, and safety documentation per CDM regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to reinforce safety.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis to drive learning.
• Collaborate with Project, Engineering, and Service teams to embed safety in design, construction, and operations.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the organization and supply chain.
• Travel to sites across the full EMEA region as required.
• Contribute to EHS program improvements and align with global best practices.
