Job summary

Canadian Solar seeks a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to oversee fire safety for utility-scale energy storage systems across EMEA, focusing on enclosure design, detection, ventilation, and layout optimization.

You will stay current with NFPA 855, UL 9540A, and BS/IEC standards, and prepare ERP, HMA, and Fire Risk Assessments to enable safe, compliant project execution. This role also supports product design and project-level technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Fire Engineering degree with IFireE membership and CEng or working toward it.
• 3+ years in fire safety, ideally in energy storage or industrial power.
• Deep knowledge of UL 9540A, NFPA 855, and fire testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor updates to NFPA 855, UL 9540A, and BS/IEC standards.
