Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking an experienced EHR Analyst to plan, design, implement and maintain Epic-based workflows in a clinical setting. You will translate practice ideas into software solutions and work closely with clinicians and IT teams.

You will lead system changes, participate in upgrades, mentor teammates, and ensure data integrity and standardized processes across departments. A strong background in healthcare IT and EPIC certification within 1 year is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 3 years of relevant healthcare IT experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EPIC Certification within 1 year is required.

Responsibilities

• Recommends, plans, evaluates and translates clinical practice, operations, policy and procedures into electronic content and workflows.
• Configures the electronic health record system to improve operations, standardize processes, gain workflow efficiencies and improve patient care.
• Assists with leading tasks, ensuring timelines are met, collaborating with management regarding process improvements, efficiencies and system innovations and providing guidance and technical and operational expertise to other team members.
• Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, tests, debugs and maintains electronic health record (EHR) software applications.
• Collaborates with the project team, subject matter experts, training and technical teams to effect system changes that reflect an in-depth understanding of the business and end user requirements, while also considering impact to integrated components and standardization.
• Leads in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with EHR software.
