Dow Chemical invites qualified candidates to join as a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist at our Fort Saskatchewan site in Alberta, Canada. You will implement the EH&S management system, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safety, environmental protection, and continuous improvement across the plant.

You will lead EH&S initiatives, coach teams, and support the Path2Zero decarbonization targets while contributing to a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• EH&S knowledge to establish and maintain safety protocols
• Ability to organize tasks, priorities, and stakeholders
• Lead and support EH&S change management projects
• Address unsafe situations and mentor colleagues on safety
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
• Collaborate effectively with teams across the plant

Responsibilities

• Implements EH&S procedures aligning with safety standards.
• Maintains compliance by reinforcing environmental, hygiene, and safety measures.
• Acts as SME for EH&S policies and guides plant personnel.
• Serves as primary contact for EH&S concerns in the plant.
• Educates and coaches teams on EH&S best practices.
• Helps set and meet EH&S targets at plant/department level.
• Verifies completion of regulatory and compliance tasks.
• Conducts environmental and industrial hygiene monitoring and reporting.
