Job summary

Dow Chemical Company is seeking a Senior EH&S Technician in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. The role focuses on implementing the EH&S management system and provides hands-on environmental, IH, and health and safety activities for a specific plant as part of the Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero program.

The candidate will be a resource for EH&S procedures and guidance, coaching teams, and ensuring compliance tasks are completed to support decarbonization objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of EH&S, OH&S or other relevant experience.
• Canada-based position requires the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship.
• Knowledge of EH&S management systems and incident investigations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements detailed, day-to-day EH&S programs.
• Ensures EH&S aspects of operating discipline are applied to meet performance goals.
• Acts as plant resource for EH&S information and serves as plant contact for EH&S issues.
• Coaches teams on EH&S tasks and activities.
• Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EH&S goals.
• Ensures compliance tasks are completed.
• Performs/coordinates EH&S monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting.
