Job summary

Dow Chemical is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for our Fort Saskatchewan site in Alberta, Canada. The role focuses on implementing the EH&S management system, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in environmental protection and workplace safety.

You will support the Path2Zero initiative as part Dow's decarbonization strategy, guiding teams and serving as the EH&S subject matter expert on site.

Qualifications

• Lead and support change management for EH&S projects.

Responsibilities

• Implements EH&S procedures aligning with safety and environmental standards.
• Maintains compliance by reinforcing environmental, industrial hygiene, and safety measures.
• Acts as subject matter expert for EH&S policies and guidance to plant personnel.
• Serves as primary contact for EH&S-related concerns at the plant site.
• Educates and coaches teams on environmental, health, and safety best practices.
• Assists in setting and meeting EH&S targets at plant/department level.
• Verifies completion of regulatory and compliance tasks.
• Conducts environmental and industrial hygiene monitoring, data gathering, interpretation and reporting.
