Job summary

Detroit Thermal Systems is seeking an EH&S Manager to provide technical environmental safety and health support to production and corporate staff. The role develops corporate EH&S programs, coordinates training, and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will lead safety initiatives, audit practices, monitor incidents, and advise leadership on regulatory changes, while collaborating with operations, engineering, HR, and others.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in a Safety Engineer/Manager role in an assembly environment.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state and local safety regulations and standards.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical EHS support to production and corporate personnel.
• Develop and monitor annual EHS goals and metrics.
• Deliver EHS training and new hire orientation.
• Develop and enforce environmental safety programs and policies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
• Audit plant practices and incident investigations.
