Job summary

NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services seeks an Agency Attorney to lead EEO investigations and compliance for City agencies. You will manage complex investigations, produce detailed reports, and guide agency personnel on EEO policy and intake procedures.

The role requires NY Bar admission, solid experience in equal employment opportunity matters, and strong written and verbal communication to support Citywide inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar; and either 2 or 3 below.
• One year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar; or six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne (30086).
• To be assigned to Assignment Level II or III, years of experience in related areas of law.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with agency EEO personnel and provide guidance on interpretation of EEO Policy and investigations.
• Assess complaints and process-related questions and take appropriate actions.
• Manage multiple complex EEO investigations through completion.
• Prepare investigative reports with findings and recommendations.
• Plan and conduct training on investigative protocols and compliance topics.
• Travel to meet with city officials, employees and the public as part of investigations.
