The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY) seeks a full-time Agency Attorney Level III in the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office. Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner of EEO and the Director, the successful candidate will conduct investigations of complex EEO violations, and interview complainants, respondents, and witnesses with significant independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications
Incumbents must remain Members of the New York State Bar in good standing for the duration of this employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum Qualification Requirements:
To be assigned to Assignment Level (AL) II, candidates must have one year of experience at Assignment Level I or two years of comparable legal experience subsequent to admission to the bar, in the areas of law related to the assignment. To be assigned to AL III candidates must have two years of experience in Assignment Levels I and/or II or three years of comparable legal experience subsequent to admission to the bar, in the areas of law related to the assignment.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Prior investigative and/or litigation experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of Title VII of the Civil Rights Law of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and New York State and City Human Rights Laws. Excellent writing, analytical, communications, and people skills. Ability to complete assigned tasks in an independent, organized, and timely manner.
