Job summary

The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is seeking an Investigations and Compliance Officer to lead agency EEO investigations, provide policy guidance, and ensure compliance with applicable laws. You will handle complex cases and prepare detailed, fact-based reports in coordination with the City’s Law Department and CEI.

The role requires NY Bar admission, strong investigative and analytical abilities, and the ability to train staff and drive citywide compliance

Qualifications

  • Bar admission in NY and post-admission law experience.
  • Experience conducting complex investigations of EEO or related matters.
  • Strong report writing and analytic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with agency EEO personnel and advise on policy interpretation.
  • Assess complaints and process-related questions and take appropriate actions.
  • Manage multiple complex EEO investigations through completion.
  • Prepare well-written investigative reports with supporting facts and recommendations.
  • Supervise CEI staff and coordinate with the Law Department when needed.
  • Monitor case practices and ensure compliant training and reporting.
  • Analyze citywide trends and advise agencies on workplace culture shifts.
  • Develop policy guidance to improve EEO and anti-discrimination compliance.
  • Plan and conduct training on investigative procedures and tracking.
  • Travel within the city for interviews and meetings as required.
