Job summary

The News Literacy Project in the United States seeks a Senior Manager of Education Design to lead resource development and instructional design for K-12 learning experiences. You will guide a team in creating lessons, videos, interactives and assessments aligned to educational standards, while collaborating with educators and cross-functional partners.

You will report to the Senior Director of Education Design and help scale NLP's Checkology platform and teacher trainings, advancing our mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degrees in education, journalism or communications are a plus.
• At least 6 years of experience in K-12 education.
• Background in journalism or news literacy.
• Strong instructional design experience creating engaging learning resources.
• Project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Experience coordinating with marketing and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a multiyear resource development roadmap aligned with educator feedback.
• Drive cross-team project management and resource development efforts to meet goals.
• Lead development of new resources: lessons, videos, online interactives, quizzes and infographics.
• Collaborate with educator support to align priorities with feedback and NLP’s needs.
• Align resources to educational standards.
