A leading education organization seeks a Senior Education Advisor to enhance educational performance, particularly in Māori-medium schools. As a Senior Education Advisor, you will be able to make a difference in strengthening educational performance in schools and kura, with a particular focus on our Māori-medium kura across Te Tai Whenua
There is a lot going on in the education system to improve attendance, and achievement through a knowledge-rich curriculum grounded in the science of learning.
We are also working to strengthen other areas, such as learning support interventions and the development of the education workforce. Our role is to work with the education sector to implement these and other priorities – including through proactive, consistent supports and services from our regional teams.
The Senior Education Advisor role is part of our Education Advisory service that supports the education sector to implement education priorities through:
Salary range: $84,425 - $102,271 per annum + 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
You will demonstrate knowledge of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
