Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an EDS Systems Supervisor to lead the development and release of vehicle wiring solutions, overseeing logical and physical schematic development in E3, approving device transmittals, and maintaining vehicle EDS topology. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Systems Integration and CAE teams, and drive design verification across programs.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in automotive EDS, vehicle launch experience, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of direct automotive EDS experience.
• Vehicle launch experience required.
• Strong English proficiency (written, read, and oral).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise wiring systems engineers, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members to meet quality, cost and timing targets.
• Develop and support logical schematics and create physical schematics using E3.
• Select wire sizing, wire type, color, and option coding to satisfy EDS requirements, quality objectives, and cost targets.
• Approve device transmittals.
• Define CAE workplans with Systems Integration and CAE engineers and lead resolution of “Not Met” CAE analyses.
• Perform inline pin-to-pin compatibility reviews and dual-harness analyses.
• Collaborate on vehicle partitioning with EDS Design Team and lead selection and specification of inline connectors.
• Create and maintain vehicle EDS topology.
• Work with EDS engineers to assess complexity and optimize giveaway strategies.
• Support engineering breadboards and prototype activities to validate wiring solutions.
• Drive development of Phase I of the ECAR matrix.
• Execute re-design verification for engineering changes to ensure compliance and manufacturability.
