Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an EDS Integration Engineer for the Advanced EV Team to define the electrical nervous system for next-gen Model e products. You will own end-to-end harness design and integration, bridging theory to vehicle reality, with hands-on lab and vehicle bring-up.

You’ll drive zonal architecture, multi-voltage distribution, and high-speed data management, partnering across teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions for an SDV-enabled future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 5+ years in EDS design and development within automotive or similar industries.
• 5+ years hands-on with ECAD tooling (Mentor Capital, Zuken E3, Vector PREEvision).
• Experience taking a product from concept through launch in mass production.
• Strong fundamentals in Ohm's law, voltage drop, thermal management and protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical wiring system design from concept to production for zonal distribution.
• Architect and integrate multi-voltage power distribution with proper sizing and fusing.
• Design for high-speed data integrity across Automotive Ethernet and sensors.
• Collaborate on harness partitioning to reduce wire count and cost.
• Contribute to Functional Safety assessments and topology planning.
• Develop ECAD schematics and resolve integration issues in tools.
• Hands-on lab-car and prototype bring-up to validate system changes.
• Review drawings and 3D routing with suppliers for manufacturability.
