Job summary

Ford Model e U.S. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering leader to drive product development for new vehicle lines. You will guide cross-functional teams across engineering to enable full system integration and optimize design efficiency.

Strong CAD skills and excellent communication are essential. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering, 10+ years in product engineering design environments, and is willing to travel for plant walks and supplier visits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
5+ years of experience in one or more of the following systems: body structure, interior, seating, exterior lighting, chassis.
Design & Release Engineering, Systems Engineering or Vehicle Engineering experience is preferred.
Capability to pull down CAD in CATIA v.5 or 3DX and create sections / take measurements.
Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

Lead product development engineering of new vehicle lines within the SET zone.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to enable full systems integration and minimize part counts and labor hours.
Set up multiple new vehicle programs prior to hand-off to Vehicle Hardware Integration and Application Engineering teams.
Demonstrate leadership to deliver results and manage multiple issues effectively.
