Job summary

STI-TEC seeks an Editor to provide professional editorial support to the Joint Staff, Actions Division, assisting senior leadership including CJCS, VCJCS, DJS, and SEAC. You will develop, edit, and standardize Joint Staff issuances, memos, and directives with strict adherence to government formatting and language rules.

Required are a Bachelor’s in English/Communications (or related field) with extensive editable experience, top-notch grammar, and familiarity with tools like Adobe Acrobat and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field; 7 years of comms support for high-profile programs or 11 years total experience
• Expert editing skills for senior government leaders and executives
• Strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation; consistent across products
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word; familiarity with tasking tools such as ETMS2/TMT

Responsibilities

• Provide editorial support for Joint Staff senior leadership
• Develop Joint Staff correspondence, issuances, letters, and memorandums
• Edit executive level Joint Staff documents to meet DoD/Joint Staff formatting and writing standards
• Analyze document packages with SMEs to revise or rewrite as needed
• Prepare complete document packages meeting Joint Staff style and distribution requirements
• Review JS issuances and publications and edit before AD leadership review
