Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, political science, international relations or relevant field; master's preferred.
• Minimum of six years in journalism or related fields.
• 3–5 years in foreign policy/international relations writing/editing.
• Strong understanding of U.S. foreign policy and global trends.
• Knowledge of digital publishing, SEO, and headline writing.
• AP Style mastery; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Edits USIP.org content, including analysis pieces and Q&As.
• Coordinates production of fact sheets, event invitations, press releases.
• Writes and edits material for USIP.org as assigned.
• Maintains news/events calendar and editorial workflow.
• Tracks production and prepares editorial reports.
• Ensures quality, readability, and consistency for all audiences.
