• Bachelor's degree required in communications, journalism, English, or related field.
• Minimum of five years editing, copyediting, or editorial review experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English grammar and AP Style.
• Experience with medical, military, or regulated publications preferred.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI safeguards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Editorial Review & Quality Assurance of materials for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to AP Style and regulations.
• Fact-checking and content verification with subject matter experts.
• Editorial project management from submission to final publication approval.
• Ensure compliance with federal and military policies and PHI safeguards before public release.
• Coordinate with authors, medical professionals, legal personnel, public affairs staff, and leadership for review and approvals.
• Develop and maintain editorial style guidelines and manage clearance processes before distribution.
