Job summary
Covington & Burling LLP seeks a seasoned eDiscovery professional to lead the effective use of eDiscovery technologies across complex matters. You will advise attorneys, staff, and clients on discovery strategy, staffing, budgets, and vendor management while guiding defensible collection, processing, analytics, and production from diverse data sources.
You will mentor support staff, contribute to departmental strategy, and partner with leadership on technology initiatives in a hybrid work
Qualifications
- 4-year degree required; JD or MBA preferred.
- Experience with major eDiscovery platforms and data processing/ECA tools.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with regular expressions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate collection, organization, review, and production of hard-copy and digital content across diverse sources.
- Oversee case content and database administration; direct TAR, analytics, and AI-assisted review workflows.
- Advise on discovery strategy, staffing, budgets, and cross-border data considerations.
- Manage vendor relationships, SOW/MSA negotiations, and cost controls.
- Train and mentor staff on supported platforms and workflows; participate in departmental growth.
