Base pay range

$325,000.00/yr - $435,000.00/yr

Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Lead eDiscovery Attorney to join their team. While preference is for candidates based in the New York, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley offices, other offices will be considered (Boston, Santa Monica, Seattle, DC).

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and support clients and case teams through all phases of eDiscovery preservation, processing, review, and production.
• Guide pre-litigation information governance, deposition/witness preparation, and trial support.
• Lead negotiations on ESI protocols, handle related matters, and prepare and argue eDiscovery motions.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, professional staff, and clients to develop tailored eDiscovery strategies, workflows, and best practices.
• Counsel clients on data disposition, legal holds, and records retention with a practical, risk-managed approach.
• Oversee and mentor a team of Litigation Staff Attorneys, including staffing, training, and quality control.
• Ensure workflows prioritize risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility while identifying case-critical information.
• Stay current on developments in eDiscovery rules and regulations and advise case teams accordingly.
• Partner with Practice Support, Knowledge & Innovation, and Training & Development teams to optimize technologies, workflows, and training programs.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 7+ years of eDiscovery experience with demonstrated success managing all phases of discovery.
• Strong knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Substantial experience with review platforms and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Proven ability to manage complex discovery workflows and deliver strategic, tailored advice.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal/technical concepts.
• Strong attention to detail with focus on quality, accuracy, and risk management.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
