Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer (EDI) to lead and own EDI workflows and data validation for government-related partnerships. The role emphasizes accurate transaction processing and collaboration with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, and cloud teams in a remote U.S. setup.

You will troubleshoot X12 transactions, SNIP validations, and partner-specific rules while working with AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS integrations. This is a W-2 remote position requiring U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Edifecs product experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise operations.
• 8+ years of EDI/HIPAA experience.
• Strong understanding of X.12 loops/segments/elements and SNIP validations.
• Experience interpreting Edifecs XEngine results and processing rules.
• Experience with Edifecs routes, profiles, or rulesets.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and JIRA.
• Ability to document transaction flows and SOPs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own functional EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules.
• Ensure accurate transaction processing and support business operations.
• Interpret and troubleshoot 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA.
• Analyze SNIP compliance and companion guides for partners.
• Document mapping requirements for new partners and changes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on issue resolution and impact.
• Support audits and maintain data quality guardrails.
• Coordinate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud teams, and business teams.
• Work on AS2, SFTP, HTTPS flows with integration partners.
• Validate data with non-X.12 partners and reconcile mismatches.
