Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Principal Edge Software Architect to define and govern the software structure across multiple product lines, aligning with SOSA/MOSA open architecture principles. You will guide prototypes to programs of record, mentoring engineers and making high-stakes decisions on workloads across CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to program security requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance; active clearance preferred.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams in a structured software product development environment.
• Strong organizational and technical communication skills, including presenting to internal and government stakeholders.
• Seven (7) to ten (10) years of software engineering design experience.
• Proven experience leading software engineering teams through full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce modular software architectures; focus on hardware-agnostic GPU acceleration.
• Oversee implementation of signal processing and system autonomy algorithms; leverage edge AI and parallel processing.
• Lead agile development cycles; mentor senior engineers in GPGPU best practices; drive DevSecOps adoption.
• Define system-level performance budgets (latency, thermal, SWaP) and architect software for embedded GPUs in constrained environments.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and partners; articulate open software approaches and ensure designs meet government standards.
