Sceye seeks an experienced Software Architect to define and evolve the software architecture powering its stratospheric High-Altitude Platform Station fleet. This role owns the technical vision across avionics, ground systems, mission operations, and data platforms, ensuring scalable, reliable software for a rapidly growing fleet.

You will mentor engineers, set coding standards, and lead architecture reviews while balancing cybersecurity, safety, and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Proven track record designing large-scale distributed real-time systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
• Strong ability to lead multiple teams and communicate complex tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the software architecture powering the HAPS fleet.
• Own technical vision across avionics, ground systems, mission ops, and data platforms.
• Set coding standards for distributed teams and guide tech choices.
• Lead architecture reviews and design documentation for major systems.
• Translate mission and safety requirements into software design.
• Design fault-tolerant, real-time systems for command and control.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural health and debt reduction.
• Address cybersecurity and regulatory considerations in architecture.
