Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize edge security for web apps, APIs, and internet-facing services. You will work with Akamai and Imperva technologies and participate in on-call rotations.

Collaborating with application, cloud, and security teams, you’ll strengthen the enterprise perimeter, analyze threats, and continuously improve security controls and operational processes to protect CVS Health’s digital assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise web application, API, or edge security.
• 3+ years with Akamai security technologies or comparable platforms.
• 3+ years of experience with WAF, bot management, DDoS mitigation, API security, DNS/TLS and Linux environments.
• 2+ years of security telemetry analysis and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Akamai security tech (WAF, Bot Manager Premier, DDoS).
• Configure and tune WAF protections and bot controls.
• Monitor security telemetry and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and integrate security into CI/CD.
• Develop runbooks and maintain security documentation.
