Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Edge Platform team. You will design, build, and operate the distributed edge-to-cloud pipeline that runs on IoT devices in production facilities, ingesting high-rate sensor data and forwarding it to the cloud.

This hands-on role focuses on containerized .NET services, databases, pub/sub, and industrial protocol integration, with collaboration across controls, HMI, manufacturing, and field support to ship reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping production systems, with at least 1 year in a senior/lead capacity.
• Strong professional experience with C# and modern .NET - ASP.NET Core REST APIs, hosted/background services, and worker services.
• Solid database engineering: relational design, indexing, migrations, and query tuning; comfortable with raw SQL.
• Practical containerization experience.
• Comfort with Linux deployment (systemd, networking) and shell scripting.
• Proficiency with Git, PR workflows, and CI/CD, including tests in the pipeline.
• Strong fundamentals: automated testing, code review, refactoring, API design, and documentation.
• Experience delivering distributed backend systems in production, ideally at the edge/IoT.

Responsibilities

• Backend Service Development: design and implement C# .NET Core REST APIs, background workers, and device services.
• Data Pipeline Ownership: design schema, access layer, migrations, partitioning, and durable cloud storage.
• Containerization & Deployment: build and maintain containerized services and deployment manifests.
• Industrial Integration: integrate with fieldbus/protocols, define message contracts and handshakes.
• Architecture & Mentorship: contribute to architecture docs, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
