Job summary

Sage is seeking an experienced engineer to design and evolve its edge devices and cloud infrastructure. You will tackle challenging problems, mentor teammates, and help set the engineering bar for scalable, reliable systems.

The role blends hands-on hardware, Linux, and network concepts with system-level thinking. You'll work across teams to ship end-to-end solutions, maintain diagnostics, and drive architecture decisions that keep devices updating smoothly even with flaky connections.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building complex backend systems.
• Strong Linux/Unix expertise and debugging skills.
• Deep knowledge in at least one language (JAVA, C++, Rust, Go, Python, or C#).
• Working knowledge of networking and device update flows.
• Demonstrated curiosity and self-directed learning.
• Ability to lead technical efforts from problem to outcome amid ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Shape the architecture for edge devices and cloud services.
• Tackle novel problems like resident location modeling and sensor fusion.
• Build diagnostics for hardware details and remote troubleshooting.
