Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Richardson, TX is seeking an EDA Computing / HPC Infrastructure MTS or Senior MTS to own and operate advanced semiconductor design compute environments, including on-prem and AWS.

You will optimize IBM LSF workloads, analyze failures, and drive automation for reliability and observability across storage and file services.

The role requires 8+ years in EDA/HPC, strong Linux admin skills, and excellent communication; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in EDA computing, HPC, or Linux infra support.
• Experience with IBM LSF and batch scheduling.
• Strong Linux system administration on RHEL.
• Proven incident analysis and root-cause resolution.
• English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level support for EDA compute clusters across simulation and tapeout workloads.
• Operate and optimize IBM LSF and other batch schedulers for high-throughput workflows.
• Analyze failures, hung jobs, bottlenecks, and license constraints.
• Own hybrid EDA HPC platforms across on-prem and AWS.
• Develop automation to improve observability and reliability.
• Manage incidents and changes in ServiceNow; lead root-cause analyses.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
