Job summary

UCHealth's Emergency Department in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced RN with strong leadership capabilities. The role supports the Nurse Manager, oversees unit operations, and drives quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Candidate must have 2+ years of ED RN experience and 2+ years as Charge RN or 1+ year as Associate Nurse Manager, with RN licensure and required certifications. Onsite, full-time schedule with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ED RN experience strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of Charge RN experience, or 1+ year Associate Nurse Manager experience strongly preferred.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 3 years of experience in related clinical areas.
• ACLS; TNCC or ATCN; ENPC or PALS.
• BLS/CPR certification required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Nurse Manager with staff evaluation and development.
• Participates in establishing and evaluating standards of care for the unitary patient population.
• Coaches and develops staff; communicates effectively and problem-solves.
• Collaborates with CNS/Educator to meet unit education needs and maintain continuity of care.
• Manages resources and workflow distribution to match provider competency with patient needs.
• Supports development and evaluation of patient care protocols and strategic initiatives.
• Operates with critical thinking in a fast-paced environment and requires independent action.
