Job summary

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking an Associate Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department in Aurora. You will oversee unit operations, ensure patient safety, and lead staff development in a high-energy ED.

Ideal candidate has 3+ years in ED, leadership experience, and a Bachelor’s in Nursing with RN licensure. ACLS/PALS preferred; BLS required before start. Onsite role with full-time schedule and competitive incentive programs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active licensure.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• 3+ years ED experience; leadership exposure valued.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; state RN licensure required.
• BLS by American Heart Association or Red Cross CPR card valid at start.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Manager in evaluating staff and leading unit operations.
• Develop, implement and evaluate care standards for the unit.
• Provide staff coaching and professional development.
• Collaborate with CNS/Educator to meet educational needs of units.
• Manage resources and ensure appropriate workload distribution.
• Support patient throughput improvements and operational budgeting.
• Contribute to nursing protocols and strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment in fast-paced setting.
