Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nurse Leader for the Emergency Department at Ascension St Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time role leads regulatory compliance, budgets, staff development, and quality initiatives to ensure exceptional patient care within the ED.

The position requires Indiana RN licensure with 3+ years ED experience and at least 1 year of leadership experience, driving staffing, policies, and performance improvements in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires Indiana RN license.
• 3+ years ED experience.
• 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
• Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
• Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
• Ensure a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction.
• Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.
