Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Data Analytics Specialist to lead multi-source data projects and deliver actionable insights for clinical and financial operations.

You will work closely with clients to define metrics, develop population definitions, and create reports using BI tools. A health-related bachelor’s or RN is required, with 2+ years in healthcare data and ECQM knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field or RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in health-related field.
• Experience with healthcare data and ECQM/quality metrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and executes multiple, concurrent projects independent of or with little supervision from leadership.
• Leads evaluation of the request for service to understand business and technical open issues.
• Collaborates with client to understand business needs, scope, and deliverables.
• Leads ongoing interface with client to develop analytic approaches.
• Develops population definitions to meet project needs.
• Recommends processes balancing data needs and urgency.
• Understands data context and context with other initiatives to develop solutions.
• Uses statistical techniques to describe/evaluate data and presents results for management action.
• Provides value-added analysis and recommended follow-up actions.
• Integrates data from multiple sources into a single dataset for analysis.
• Leads review/validation of complex datasets.
• Prepares methods to deliver results and facilitates data discussion.
• Develops reports using BI tools.
• Educates clients on clinical and financial concepts and data relationships.
• Advises clients on data issues and data quality considerations.
