Job Title: Senior Ecommerce Manager
Department: Marketing
Reports To: CMO
Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on factors such as location, relevant experience, and qualifications. Candidates in higher cost-of-living areas or with exceptional expertise may fall above this range.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecommerce Manager to lead our digital commerce initiatives, drive online revenue, and oversee our subscription-based sales model. This role is responsible for the strategic development, optimization, and technical oversight of our ecommerce platform—ensuring exceptional user experiences and scalable performance.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with strong technical acumen and hands-on experience managing ecommerce systems, CPG subscription programs, and high-growth digital sales environments.

Key Responsibilities
Platform & Technical Leadership
- Own and optimize the technical performance of the ecommerce platform, ensuring seamless functionality, fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and scalable architecture using tools such as CDNs, caching strategies, and headless commerce frameworks.
- Manage and maintain integrations with key third-party systems including payment gateways, CMS platforms, ERP, CRM, and inventory management tools.
- Lead relationships with ecommerce vendors and development partners to ensure reliable execution and ongoing platform innovation.
Revenue Strategy & Conversion Optimization
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to increase online revenue, average order value (AOV), and conversion rates through A/B testing, CRO methodologies, personalized merchandising, and dynamic pricing.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies such as Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), AI-driven personalization engines, and customer behavior tools to enhance performance and engagement.
Subscription Program Strategy & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end strategy and technical execution of subscription-based CPG programs, including bundling, backend platform configuration, customer lifecycle analysis, and retention optimization.
- Oversee integrations and ongoing performance using platforms like Recharge, Ordergroove , or Bold Subscriptions to ensure scalability and customer satisfaction.
User Experience (UX) & Site Optimization
- Enhance the digital customer journey by optimizing site architecture, improving product discovery, and streamlining checkout experiences across devices.
- Collaborate with digital marketing teams to ensure ecommerce infrastructure supports SEO/SEM, email automation, influencer partnerships, and campaign performance tracking.
Data Analytics & Performance Reporting
- Leverage analytics platforms such as GA4, Metabase , or Looker to monitor ecommerce KPIs, build custom dashboards, and uncover actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Drive business decisions through data-backed performance analysis, including cohort tracking, funnel optimization, and subscription forecasting.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing cross-functional team of ecommerce developers, product managers, and channel specialists.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability, ensuring alignment between business goals and platform execution.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure the ecommerce platform adheres to all data privacy and security regulations, including CCPA, PCI-DSS, and HTTPS protocols.
- Implement and maintain security best practices to protect customer data and support compliance across all integrated systems.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Business, or a related field required.
- MBA or technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Google Analytics, CRO tools) preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years in ecommerce, digital marketing, or web development roles.
- 3+ years leading teams and managing enterprise-level ecommerce platforms.
- Demonstrated success in driving online revenue growth for a B2C organization.
- 3+ years of hands-on leadership of CPG-focused subscription programs, overseeing end-to-end execution—from product bundling and offer development to platform integration and lifecycle performance analysis.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in ecommerce platforms such as Shopify Plus or WooCommerce.
- Deep experience with subscription platforms such as Recharge, Ordergroove , or Bold Subscriptions.
- Proficiency in web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics) and tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager).
- Strong understanding of API integrations, RESTful services, and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) and CMS frameworks.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, CI/CD pipelines) is a plus.

- Strong leadership and technical communication skills .
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
