Job summary

Midwest Veterinary Supply, Inc. is seeking a Senior eCommerce Developer to lead architecture and backend development for our digital commerce platforms. This remote role requires living within driving distance of Lakeville, MN for monthly meetings and collaboration.

You will oversee integration across HCL Commerce, ERP, and storefront components, guide a team, and ensure scalable, secure solutions while mentoring engineers and participating in code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, information systems, computer engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years on enterprise eCommerce platforms.
• Strong background in Java, REST API development, SQL, and ERP integrations.
• Experience leading development projects and mentoring technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and support enterprise eCommerce solutions using HCL Commerce and related systems.
• Lead development and integration between HCL Commerce, ERP, Evolve storefront, WordPress, middleware, and third-party apps.
• Define standards, review architecture, and partner with stakeholders to plan technology initiatives.
• Mentor full-stack and front-end developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend teams on storefront enhancements and React-based development.
