Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an experienced eCommerce Architect to own the technical architecture for flooranddecor.com and the broader eCommerce tech stack. You will define standards for frontend React apps, backend services, and cross-system integrations while guiding modernization and AI-assisted development practices.

The role leads with architectural authority across engineering pods, coordinating with product and design to deliver scalable, secure commerce solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including significant full-stack engineering work.
• 5+ years in a solution/enterprise architect or comparable senior role for large-scale eCommerce or digital platforms.
• Expert-level knowledge of React and modern front-end architecture, with strong back-end design experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target-state architecture for flooranddecor.com across front-end, back-end, integration, and data layers.
• Establish architecture patterns and standards for React-based front-end applications and full-stack service design.
• Lead architecture reviews for major initiatives to ensure scalable, secure solutions aligned with enterprise principles.
• Own the technical roadmap for core commerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WebSphere Commerce) including upgrades and replatforming.
• Design integration architecture across commerce, OMS, search, personalization, payments, and supporting systems.
• Establish coding standards and governance; define guidelines for AI-assisted development tools across engineering.
