Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Sr. Manager, eCommerce Technology to lead multiple engineering pods focused on scalable digital systems. You will translate technology strategy into staffed teams, ensure delivery on roadmap commitments, and partner with the Sr.

Director to align staffing, delivery plans and technical direction. A strong full-stack background (React/Java) and experience with large ecommerce platforms are required.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of software engineering experience with 3+ years managing leads or senior engineers
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams in ecommerce/retail
• Strong full-stack background in React and Java to guide technical decisions
• Experience with large-scale ecommerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WebSphere)
• Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top engineers

Responsibilities

• Directly manage eCommerce Engineers with coaching, performance management, and career development
• Own workforce planning and scale teams with Talent Acquisition
• Build a culture of ownership and continuous improvement across pods
• Own end-to-end delivery across pods, meeting roadmap on time and budget
• Establish program management practices: capacity, dependencies, risk; escalate cross-team issues
• Collaborate with Architecture to align with architecture and platform roadmaps
• Champion AI-assisted development practices across the org
• Manage budget, staffing, tooling, and vendor relationships
• Report capacity, spend, and delivery metrics to Sr. Director
