UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine is seeking an experienced Cardiac Echo Technologist to perform 2D, M-mode and Doppler studies under the supervision of Cardiac Imaging Physicians. You will assist with urgent and pre-operative readings, and prepare preliminary interpretations and records for each study.

The role requires ARDMS-RDCS (AE/PE) certification, at least 3 years of echo tech experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifikationen

• ARDMS-RDCS (AE) for adults.
• ARDMS-RDCS (PE) for pediatrics.
• At least 3 years of adult or pediatric/fetal echo tech experience.
• BLS Card from AHA or ARC.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
• Apply ultrasound theory to clinical evaluation of target anatomy.
• Ability to move 500+ lb echo machine up to 100 ft.
• Dexterity to operate transducer, controls and generate reports.
• Prepare and maintain procedure logs and ensure billing.
• Work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients and staff.
• Ability to follow physician orders and instructions.
• Deliver basic cardiac life support (BCLS).

Aufgaben

• Perform 2‑D echoes, M‑mode, and Doppler studies.
• Notify physicians for urgent and/or preoperative readings.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation and reports.
• Maintain records for echo studies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by physicians and Manager.
