Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Experienced Estimator for a Nationally Recognized Earthwork Contractor with over 100 years of experience. Based in Illinois, you will analyze plans, estimate costs, and develop bid proposals for sitework projects.

Salary ranges from $110,000 to $150,000 per year, with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits. Collaborate with PMs and engineers, negotiate with subcontractors, and monitor budgets to ensure project success.

Qualifications

Experience estimating in construction, with focus on sitework projects.
Strong understanding of cost control principles and cost budgeting.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and contracts.

Responsibilities

Analyze construction plans and specifications to determine project requirements
Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates
Prepare detailed and comprehensive bid proposals for potential clients
Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget
Review and analyze change orders and provide cost impact assessments
Utilize construction management software.
