Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Early Childhood Curriculum Developer to lead design of engaging, standards-aligned curricula for ages 0–6. This fully remote role requires deep expertise in ECE theory and play-based learning, with strong abilities in online collaboration and curriculum adaptation for digital delivery.

The ideal candidate will drive development of lesson plans, activities, and assessments, while ensuring inclusivity and alignment with current research.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Development, or a closely related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in early childhood education with focus on curriculum design.
• Proven ability to develop age-appropriate, play-based, standards-aligned curricula.
• Experience creating digital learning content and online delivery.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Remote collaboration and leadership in distributed teams.
• Proficiency with Educational Technology tools and LMS.
• Must have a dedicated home office with reliable high-speed internet.
• Preference for candidates near Randburg, Gauteng, ZA for potential hybrid needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of comprehensive early childhood curricula for 0–6 years.
• Create detailed lesson plans, activity guides, and assessment tools.
• Research and integrate findings in child development into curriculum frameworks.
• Develop digital learning resources, including interactive modules.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, graphic designers, and SMEs remotely.
• Ensure content is inclusive and meets educational standards.
• Pilot and evaluate curriculum effectiveness and iterate.
