Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - E3 in Melbourne, FL. You will apply EMI/EMC principles to design ground systems, shielding, and filters, and develop E3 procedures and analyses for government programs.

You will present at design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure MIL-STD E3 compliance across subsystems, with a strong emphasis on technical communication and programmatic awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in STEM with 5+ years E3 experience or higher degrees with required years.
• Experience with MIL-STD-464/MIL-STD-461 and EMC/EMI design.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and SAP access.

Responsibilities

• Design ground systems, shielding, EMI filters, and interface circuitry.
• Prepare E3 test procedures, reports, and technical analyses.
• Present design reviews to internal/external customers.
• Mentor less experienced E3 engineers across domains.
• Ensure E3 compliance and lifecycle documentation per standards.
